How BETSPY works

Prices are collected from several bookmakers on a regular schedule. Each price is stored with the time it was seen and is never overwritten. Prices older than two hours are treated as expired and cannot be used as the best available price. Every game is identified by the official league game ID, so two games between the same teams on the same day (such as a baseball doubleheader) stay separate.

A game can qualify through one of five research methods, all based on how prices moved: a meaningful move at a single bookmaker, a consensus move across several bookmakers, or unusual disagreement between bookmakers. Only games starting between 20 minutes and 24 hours from now are considered.

The bookmaker margin is removed inside each bookmaker's own complete market, never by mixing prices from different bookmakers. Incomplete markets are skipped. The resulting edge and confidence figures are shown for information only: they do not decide whether a bet is placed and they do not rank selections.

Only one paper bet can be open at a time across all staking plans, and each plan places at most three per day. A bet is locked no later than 20 minutes before the game starts, at the price recorded at that moment. Once locked, the stake, price and time can never be changed.

Selection and staking are separate. The same selection is sized by each staking plan from its own paper bankroll, which started at 1,000. A staking plan changes how much is staked, not which game is chosen.

A paper bet is settled only after a final result exists for the game. Wins, losses, pushes and voids all stay in the public history. Historical records are never recalculated, deleted or rewritten, and they are never converted at today's exchange rates.

All results are theoretical paper results at recorded prices. Past results do not predict future ones, small samples can mislead, and nothing on BETSPY is financial advice or a promise of profit. Only ever bet what you can afford to lose.
